At the beginning - the first steps in planning your wedding

Congratulations! You just got engaged. Now you have a wedding to plan…. where to begin you ask?
Here are some steps to get your wedding planning off to a good start:
1) Buy a wedding planner. If you are going to plan your wedding from start to finish by yourself (or with the help of your bridesmaids or parents) you need a book to keep all of your ideas and information in. Most planners out there on the market come in a three-ring binder so it’s easy to add and remove pages. They usually come with pages to fill in regarding things like guest lists and menu’s, and have a handy schedule so you know the deadlines you need to hit along the way. Hunt through bookstores, look online, and wander through catalogs until you find one that suits your needs. They come in many forms, from simple to elaborate, depending on the sort of wedding you are planning to the kind of person you are. (Some people like making lists and staying organized, some people just want someplace to keep all of their notes.) The trick is to find one that you love, because that planner is going to be your best friend from the time you set a date to the moment you say “I do.”
Once you purchase your planner, it’s on the next step - setting a date!
